“Do I contradict myself? Very well, then, I contradict myself; I am large — I contain multitudes.”
― Walt Whitman
You’re an original.
A multiplicity of potential.
Entangled in time and space with a singular, albeit quiet voice.
Guiding, beckoning, leading you upwards and onwards toward The Ultimate Reality.
Yes, we are human.
But we are so much more;
and what we see of this jagged existence is but a shadow of the glory to come.
Don’t believe me? I don’t blame you. We just met.
Besides, you can only really believe yourself.
Though, how does one ‘believe self’?
Seems to make little sense,
I already believe myself.
So I’ve heard,
but what if.
What if I told you there’s a part of your psyche rebelling against your being? And the problems you experience are just perceptions that have been predetermined?
What if sin is real.
What if God is real…
and wants a relationship with you?
Or what if this existence just a training ground for something more..
I get it, pie in the sky thinking right?
When life throws you one weeks stay in the mad house plus a divorce to top it off, you might begin to reconsider things. Speaking for myself, but –
At any one of life’s traumatic junctions, you too could have resolved to throw your hands up, and proceed accordingly (usually, to the plans of other people.)
The progression of life changes opposite to expectation can defeat many, but you’re not ‘many’ are you?
There’s a bigger plan in play.
Your purpose is to find it.
And when you find “it” you find you…
This is not random.
“Work, buy, consume, die”
…we’re better than this.
Let’s not kid ourselves.
Here’s a cool idea.
We are not human beings having spiritual experiences.
We are spiritual beings having a human experience.
Once you reframe your life in light of your true nature, you begin living.
You begin to operate with the full power of The Creator behind you.
So there’s no need to fear, like when dad held on to your bike seat as a kid. You didn’t know what you were doing (yet) but, you felt secure. Why was that?
The confidence you had, it wasn’t in yourself.
It was in the person backing you.
Your life is worth an infinite amount,
which is why people try so hard to make you compromise.
To make you question.
To make you give up.
Just know, whatever offered pales in comparison infinity.
In you lies dormant a portion of the divine.
A man can no more diminish God’s glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word, ‘darkness’ on the walls of his cell.
C. S. Lewis
It’s time we begin to act in such a way that brings to light our higher natures.
It’s time we start to look at each other not as sacks of flesh, but as immortal souls.
To disregard the narrative placed before us and begin to search for truth instead.
